Why verification exists

Badges show that Veranova has confirmed an account is the authentic presence of a notable public figure, brand or organisation. Verification is not an endorsement, a rank of importance, or a reward for engagement.

Badge types

• Verified — authentic identity confirmed.
• Creator, Business, Organization — additional badges for account types, each with its own review.

Eligibility

We consider:

• Authenticity — the account represents a real person or entity.
• Uniqueness — one verified presence per person or brand.
• Completeness — a real profile with activity.
• Notability (for the verified badge) — the account represents a well-known or highly-searched person, brand or organisation.

Verification is not guaranteed to any applicant. Meeting criteria does not create an entitlement to a badge.

Process

Requests go through the in-app verification request flow and are reviewed by administrators. Requests may be declined without detailed justification where revealing review criteria would enable gaming.

Removal

Badges are removed if the account changes to misrepresent itself, is renamed to something misleading, or repeatedly violates the Community Guidelines.

Appeals

Declined or revoked verification can be appealed.
